The cathedral’s seniors are a diverse, stimulating community of seasoned people who are aging with grace. We gather to learn, grow, stay healthy and enjoy each other’s company. Everyone is welcome at our gatherings.
As we strive to safely reopen Grace Cathedral, Senior Ministry remains focused on community health, both physically and socially. After careful planning and consideration, we wish to joyfully announce our Senior Community Day series re-envisioned for 2022.
Beginning in May, we will gather in person on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (pre-registration required) while also continuing our virtual gatherings on Zoom (online and accessible by phone) on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We are excited to continue experiencing community, faith, and one another both in person and online.
A message for our seniors:
“As an intergenerational community, we are especially concerned about members of the Grace Cathedral family who are most vulnerable to illness; therefore, we will require prior vaccination at our in-person senior events. Our greatest concern is for all of you and your health and well-being. We will also continue to meet virtually with those in our community that are not in a position to attend in-person gatherings. Thank you for your understanding. Please reach out to The Rev. Mary Carter Greene, Minister for Congregational Life, by email or telephone if you have questions and/or if you are in need of community support. Please find contact info at the bottom of this page. We are holding you all in prayer.”
Senior Community Day: Brunch, Program, and Eucharist (In-Person)
Meet in person at Grace in smaller groups on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10 am to 1 pm. Pre-registration online or by phone is requested. Please note that, for the health and safety of our senior community, prior vaccinations will be required in addition to wearing masks during the service. Masks need not be worn while eating.
Senior Tuesday Zoom (Online)
Meet virtually with Seniors with Grace on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11:30 am to 1 pm. This online community gathering is accessible to those in our community at all levels of technology: internet access; cell phone; and land line (toll free). We welcome you!
The Rev. Mary Carter Greene
