Grace Cathedral

We are excited to invite singers from throughout the Diocese of California to help lead the music for the Consecration of Austin Rios on May 4, 2024, at 11 am at Grace Cathedral.

We will host a Diocesan Choir on the following schedule:

• 8:30–9 am welcome and vesting. Please enter via the Cathedral School for Boys at 1275 Sacramento St. We’ll meet in the CSB Lower School commons.
• 9–10:15 am choir rehearsal
• 10:30 am music begins
• 11 am Consecration begins

Singers are also invited to attend optional choir rehearsals on the last three Sundays in April (April 14, 21, and 28) from 4:30–5:45 pm at Grace Cathedral Choir House (1112 Jones St.)

The choral music for the service will include:

• The Light Shines – Jennifer Stasack
• Rivers of Living Water – Trevor Weston
• Thou, O God, Art Praised in Sion – Malcolm Boyle (youth and children treble singers are invited to sing the middle section)

To participate, all singers should register via the official registration link. Please make sure to select the option labeled “Choir / Coro.” When you register, we will send you a confirmation email which will contain a link to download a copy of the music. (You can also obtain printed copies at the Grace Cathedral music office.)

On May 4, singers should bring their own choir vestments and music.
