Tribute to Sting at Grace Cathedral
February 23 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$20 – $30Join The Sting Quartet for an evening of songs written by Sting, from 1978 to today, interpreted by cello, voice, upright bass, and drums. From the punk energy of Roxanne, Walking On The Moon, and So Lonely to the sinuous ballads – Every Breath You Take, Fragile, and Shape Of My Heart – Sting is a titan of songwriting and a master of many stylistic perspectives. Through the unique lens of The Sting Quartet, lyrics and melodies you have loved for many years are transformed and reconfigured. And there’s no more perfect framework for the soulful and mystical music of Sting than the Gothic revival grandeur of Grace Cathedral.
In addition to the songs listed above, The Sting Quartet’s repertoire also includes:
Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Don’t Stand So Close To Me, Fields Of Gold, Fortress Around Your Heart, Be Still My Beating Heart, and many more.
Katy Stephan on vocals & piano
Byron Hogan, cello
Lisa Mezzacappa, upright bass
Daria Johnson, drums
