Life Tasks & Life Stories Small Group Book Discussion
September 22 @ 12:45 pm - 2:00 pm
Given the popularity of the David Brooks’ book discussion, “How to Know a Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen”, we are offering a second date to continue conversation and review how it applies to our personal and congregational life. This book discussion is for anyone seeking meaningful, caring connections. At the next two meetings we will be breaking into small groups, sharing our thoughts and insights with one another in deeper conversations.
On Sunday, September 22, we will review Chapters 14 on Life Tasks and 15 on Life Stories, with exercises/activities on helping others (and us) to accept life’s journey and the plots and heroism of acts of people’s lives. We will be meeting in the Chapter Room after the 11 Eucharist coffee hour from 12:45 – 2 pm. A light lunch will be provided.
