Great American Music Hall Proudly Presents John Grant

John Grant began playing guitar at age 10 after taking lessons from his brother Kevin. He played in several bands in high school and college and was featured in Guitar Player magazine’s “Spotlight On New Talent” column in 1983. Grant formed the Colorado-based band The Czars in 1994. The band released two independent albums in the 1990s and signed with Bella Union, establishing a small international audience. The band broke up in 2004. Grant launched his solo career in 2010 with his debut album, Queen of Denmark, which was named Best Album of 2010 by Mojo Magazine. His next album was Pale Green Ghosts, which featured a cover of the title track by Sinead O’Connor, who became a friend of Grant’s.

Event Details

The cathedral will open for seating at 8 pm. The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street or from the cathedral garage.
