Faythe Freese, Concert Organist (Free)

Enjoy this wondrous experience with organ, dancers, multimedia, and light projection!

Presented in conjunction with the American Guild of Organists 2024 National Convention in San Francisco (June 30-July 4), organist Faythe Freese’s colorful and engaging program at Grace Cathedral presents music by Langlais, Jermar, Guilmant, Decker, Price, and Sowerby. The concert will be accompanied by dancers choreographed by Kristin D’Addario, screen projections, and light effects on the interior walls. 

Faythe Freese, Professor Emeritus of Organ at the University of Alabama School of Music, is in demand as a recitalist throughout the United States, Germany, Denmark, South Korea, and Singapore. She has been called “an organ superstar” (Denver Post) and evinces “fiery and virtuosic playing” (The Boston Musical Intelligencer).

Event Details

The cathedral will open for seating at 7:30 pm. Enter the cathedral through the door at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street left of the garage entrance. Turn left down the hallway and follow it to the elevator.
