Grace Cathedral

2025

Spacious Grace

Spacious Grace is the annual free-form arts festival at the cathedral when we remove the pews and invoke the muse.

Now in its tenth year, Spacious Grace is the time when we open up our amazing space and invite you to experience the sprawling indoor labyrinth, soaring columns, and glittering stained glass in a whole new way. We invite artists to present a wide range of cultural events — theater, dance, music, and more. Spacious Grace runs from February 18 to March 2.

Showcase of a New Musical:

The Epic Tale of Hiʻiaka Patrick Makuakane, Artist in Residence

Join us for a special showcase of a new musical by creative team Roslyn Catracchia and Grace Cathedral 2024 Artist in Residence Patrick Makuakāne. Together, they have written the book, music, and lyrics. The choreography is by Makuakāne. The dramaturg is none other than Stephen Schwartz, the great American composer and lyricist who wrote WICKED. The producer, Michael Jackowitz, has produced many shows on Broadway and recently won a Tony for Best Revival with “Once Upon this Island.”

Yoga on the Labyrinth

Tuesdays, February 18 and 25; Saturdays, February 22 and March 1

Join a loving community of Yogis as we all lay our mats together in this sacred space to practice indoors amidst the soaring Gothic columns, glistening stained glass windows, soothing live music, and expert instruction.

Grace Cathedral Sound Bath

Monday, February 24 at 7 pm

Presented by Grace Cathedral, our Sound Bath features Fractals of Sound, a collective of top Bay Area musicians Egemen Sanli, Phoenix Song, and Sam Jackson. Together they deliver on their passion for creating a soundscape deeply rooted in world music. The cathedral contributes its reverberant 7-12 second delay, making it a virtual fourth musician.
