Curious about EfM?
Join us for a free, 6-week “A Taste of EfM” Summer Series to see if it’s right for you!
Why the Bible Began by Jacob Wright
Dr. Jacob L. Wright is a professor of Hebrew Bible / Old Testament at Emory University. His latest book explores how the Bible, more than just religious scripture, began as a trailblazing blueprint for a new form of political community. Its response to catastrophe offers a powerful message of hope and restoration that is unique in the Ancient Near Eastern and Greco-Roman worlds. We will read selected chapters each week for this standalone seminar. Following the format of the academic year program, we will also include worship, group formation, and theological reflection each week.
Contact Roberta Sautter, nixile@earthlink.net, for more information and registration
Students must purchase the book. Please inquire about Financial Aid if this is a barrier to participation!
