With heavy hearts and thanks for a life well lived, we share the news that The Very Reverend Alan William Jones, 83, beloved Dean Emeritus of Grace Cathedral, has died after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Virginia ‘Cricket’ Price Jones, and his three children, Lena Roy, Charlotte Voiklis, and Edward Jones.

Alan Jones was deeply steeped in Benedictine spirituality. We will never forget his generous vision for reimagining the church and for a Christianity whose primary message is that God loves everyone without exception.
