How can my child join?
What happens in an audition?
In an audition, girls and their parents are given a tour of Grace Cathedral Choir House, and time to get to meet the music staff. Girls are asked to read words, to sing “Happy Birthday,” and to play a few listening games. No previous musical training is necessary for success.
Is this choir inclusive of trans and non-binary kids?
Absolutely! We intentionally foster a safe and inclusive environment where all young singers feel comfortable being themselves. We celebrate the full spectrum of gender expression and identity, and welcome choristers who identify in many ways, regardless of assignment at birth.
When will the choir sing?
The fall term choir will operate from September through December, 2024, with rehearsals on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:30pm. Children are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early and will be supervised by two licensed adult leaders.
The girls will sing for services in Grace Cathedral periodically throughout the fall, and we will announce the dates at the start of the term.
