Illuminate, the organization that brought the Bay Lights to the Bay Bridge and Grace Light to Grace Cathedral, is celebrating a Summer of Awe with WINDOW, a laser installation that will shine from the roof of the Fairmont Hotel through the cathedral’s Rose Window from sunset to sunrise.  

The cathedral will be open on Thursday and Saturday evenings for one hour, with live music offered by singer/songwriter and sound healer Clare Hedin. On Friday evening, Artists in Residence Bobby McFerrin and MOTION will be in the midst of their 24-Hour Unbroken Circlesong – join us to experience this celebration of music and prayer, with twelve laser cannons lighting the cathedral from 9 pm until dawn.  

Laser master Tim Anderson will orchestrate the lasers to gently respond to the music in real-time.
