The Universe Story: A Cosmic Spiral Ritual

January 8 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$25

The Universe Story, a celebration of humanity’s essential role in the evolving cosmos, originated with Thomas Berry, a Passionist Monk, and is now the life work of Dr. Brian Thomas Swimme—cosmologist and internationally-renowned speaker and author. The Universe is life-generating, creative, ever-changing, and reminds us we are constantly working with creative forces. It guides us to become self-aware earthlings conscious that nature, indeed the cosmos, is alive and creating through us.

Veriditas is launching a new program to explore The Universe Story and the New Year is a perfect time to begin this adventure. Join us on Monday, January 8, 2024, when Dr. Swimme and Kacey Carmichael will lead the Cosmic Spiral Walk. This ritual, practiced around the world, brings into our hearts and bodies the scientific knowledge of the 14-billion-year evolution of the Universe. We will open into awe, wonder, and into resonance with the great unfolding of which we are a part. Hosted by The Reverend Dr. Lauren Artress, Honorary Canon of Grace Cathedral, and musician Judith Tripp, they will provide inspiration for the labyrinth walk to complete the evening. Feel free to invite friends.

Please note that this event replaces Candlelight Labyrinth Walk, previously scheduled for this date. The Candlelight Labyrinth Walk is on hiatus until the fall.
