The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday with Guest Preacher Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde (In-Person and Livestream)
April 13 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Holy Week begins as we commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entrance into Jerusalem a grand palm procession, in a Eucharist sung by the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys. The joyful tenor turns toward the reality of the cross in a liturgy that concludes with the Passion.
This year, we are honored to welcome the Right Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of Washington, as our guest preacher, with the Right Rev. Austin Keith Rios, Bishop of California, presiding. The liturgy will be followed by a 1 pm conversation with Bishop Budde, Bishop Rios and Dean Young, on living the themes of Bishop Budde’s book How We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith.
When the online version of the service leaflet becomes available, you can view it here.
Event Details
The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street or from the cathedral garage. Masks are strongly encouraged inside the cathedral.
