The Installation of the Rt. Rev. Austin Keith Rios, Ninth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of California (In-Person and Livestream)

Join the Diocese of California in a joyful celebration as the Rt. Rev. Austin Keith Rios is installed as Bishop of California at Grace Cathedral. The Right. Rev. Austin Keith Rios was ordained and consecrated a bishop on Saturday, May 4, and has since served as Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese. Learn more.
In a festal Evensong sung by the Cathedral Choir, we’ll commemorate Clare of Assisi, companion of our patron Francis. The Rev. Dr. Mauricio Wilson, President of the Standing Committee, will officiate, and Bishop Rios will preach.

LOCATION, TRANSPORTATION, AND PARKING
Due to multiple public events, traffic is expected to be particularly dense in San Francisco this weekend. Please check traffic conditions and allow extra time.
Grace Cathedral is located at 1100 California Street, between Taylor and Jones. The cathedral entrance is at the top of the Great Steps, near the corner of Taylor and California Streets. The accessible entrance is on Taylor Street, through the glass doors to the left of the garage entrance. Follow the hallway to the cathedral elevator. Attendees are encouraged to take public transit or rideshare. Limited street parking is available. Cathedral garage parking ($4/15 minutes; $45 maximum) is available by entry at 1051 Taylor Street. The garage hours are 6:30 am to 10 pm. Masonic Garage parking (same price as above, 1101 California Street) and Crocker Garage parking (same price, 1045 California Street) are open 24 hours a day.
Language and Interpretation
The service leaflet will be fully bilingual, English and Spanish, and the liturgy will be conducted in both languages. Live interpretation in Spanish is available. Please arrive no later than 2:45 pm to pick up a head set.
