Join us in the Chapel of Grace for Choral Evensong with the Cathedral Singers.

Choral Evensong, a service of sung Evening Prayer, is one of the treasures of the Anglican tradition. The service guides us to lay to rest the concerns of the day and prepare for the coming night. It combines music, readings from scripture, and ancient and contemporary prayers. The music includes psalms, canticles and an anthem, all sung by the choir, with congregational hymns and an organ prelude and postlude.

The beauty of the music is offered to help us set our lives in the light of eternity; the same light which dwelt among us in Jesus, and which now illuminates us by the Spirit. This centuries-old service presents the finest of the Anglican musical tradition and is regularly sung in cathedrals and churches around the world. (45 minutes)

Event Details

The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street or from the cathedral garage.
