Installation of Jared Johnson, Canon Director of Music

It is with great joy that we announce Jared Johnson, will be installed as Canon Director of Music of the cathedral at Evensong on Thursday, October 19, at 5:30 pm. The service will be officiated by The Right Rev. Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of California. 

Evensong is a service traditionally held near sunset focused on singing psalms, canticles, and prayers, ranging from meditative to jubilant. The Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys sings during our Choral Evensong with an officiant. Join us at this mid-week choral service and experience one of the most beautiful liturgies in the Anglican tradition. (45 minutes)

Event Details

The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street or from the cathedral garage. Masks are strongly encouraged inside the cathedral.
