Grace Cathedral 2023 Backpack Drive

This year we are partnering with Bayview Mission, The Community Preschool, and the Congregation Council to ensure children and families in our community are set up for success. We are collecting backpacks and school supplies so families will have one less worry as they prepare their children for the school year. Your support will ensure their ongoing success; learn more in our blog!
This year, you can help spread joy in several ways. Any or all will be appreciated!
We hope to provide over one hundred backpacks. To make this easy, please purchase items from our Amazon Wishlist. Please choose “Steph McNally, Grace Cathedral,1100 California St” as the shipping option. We are receiving items until August 7. Please email Steph McNally with any questions.
Write a handwritten card. On July 23, a card writing table will be set up during coffee hour after the 11 am service. Or email Phoebe Campbell for information about how to write cards at home.
On August 13, join the Grace Youth Group for a Pizza and Packing party after the 11 am service to help to sort and pack the supplies. We will also be seeking volunteers to deliver backpacks to Bayview Mission later in the day. Youth and Youth at Heart are welcome!
