Deer Creek Morris Dancers
May 28 @ 12:15 pm - 1:00 pm

Immediately following the 11 a.m. Eucharist, Deer Creek, and friends from Goat Hill, Mad Mollies, and Berkeley Morris are back to dance in celebration of Whitsunday, a historical English name for Pentecost. Morris Dance existed in England long before the style had the name. Historical notes show that the dances were already a tradition in the 11th century, and Morris Dance was given approval for Whitsuntide by King James I in the early 17th century.
