Christine is a longtime member of the Grace Cathedral congregation. She served six years on the Congregation Council, has served in various capacities within Children, Youth, and Family Ministries, bakes the Eucharist monthly, served as co-chair of Stewardship for two years and remains a committee member, and most recently has begun serving as a lector. Christine’s company, Ben-Her Marketing, has supported Grace Cathedral’s digital marketing needs pro bono for the past three years to help launch its visitor experience, cultural arts program, and the Carnivale gala.
A native New Yorker, Christine relocated to Southern California in 1989, but found her true home in San Francisco in 1994. Christine lives in Bernal Heights with her husband Grant and their son, Ronan who is an 8th grade chorister in the Choir of Men and Boys. Ronan has been attending Cathedral School for Boys for the past four years.
Professionally, Christine is the Owner/Principal of Ben-Her Marketing. As an experienced marketing executive, she brings both domestic and global experience in developing both digital and traditional media strategies that have positively impacted brands. She has worked with clients like LG, Intuit, Visa, L’Oreal, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Xbox, Palm and Verizon. Additionally, she has a background in both research and information systems, which fuels her knowledge in database marketing, data modeling and segmentation, reporting and marketing database design. Her career has always included honing, shaping, and interpreting data sets into the information necessary to help companies make informed decisions about their future. She brings this type of decision making to her board appointments and is comfortable blending art and science for the best outcomes. Christine is a solutions-oriented marketer focused on the success of her clients’ efforts and ensuring they pursue the most creative, viable and insightful paths for their brand.
