What’s New at the Stitching Ministry

Blog|Fran Rounds

Dear knitters, crocheters, and other workers with yarn,

We will gather in the library this Sunday from 12:45 until 2:45.

Deacon Nina Pickerrell has asked us to participate in the Senior Health Fair to be held at Grace cathedral next Saturday, April 21. She would like us to meet in the library as though it were a first or third Sunday, to sit around the table and knit or crochet, surrounded by our carts and samples of our work, and to talk to anyone about how easy and valuable it is to start a mission like ours. And how happy, healthy, and utterly delightful we all are because we participate in it. Meanwhile there will be representatives from Braid Mission, Bayview Mission, and a variety of others encouraging people to make out health care directives, learn to cook healthy meals, and so forth.

The Senior Health Fair  lasts from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00p.m. and a healthy lunch will be served. It is aimed at seniors, but anyone is welcome to attend. We certainly are not going to knit for five hours—shall we gather from 1:00 to 3:00 as we usually do?

If you are free to come by for all or part of that time, you would be most welcome and Deacon Nina would be grateful. I will send out another reminder next week.

In the meantime, keep the Mother’s Day items coming, and I hope to see you this Sunday.

As always, thank you for all you do.

prayers,

Fran
