Presented by Grace Cathedral, Sound Bath musical director Gabriel Gold and top Bay Area musicians Sam Jackson, Loriel Starr and Timothy Surya Das who will take you on a deeply meditative, sonic journey.
This is an online version of an ongoing series. There are two viewings of this event for your convenience — 5 PM and 8 PM. The link will be available for viewing for ticket holders for 48 hours.
Our livestream aims to offer the audio and visual experience of attending a deeply meditative Sound Bath experience inside Grace Cathedral’s sacred space while staying safe during the current pandemic.

Gabriel Gold (Vocals, Handpans, Crystal Bowls, Piano, Percussion), the musical director of Grace Cathedral’s Sound Bath Series, is known best for his soaring, yet soothing wordless vocals, entrancing handpans, crystal singing bowls and meditative piano playing. As a teacher, Gold founded and facilitates “The Healing Voice Circle”, as well as similar experiences throughout the world; personally supporting thousands of people on the journey of developing a fulfilling relationship to their singing voices and through such, a sense of deeper spiritual connection. As a composer, Gold has released two full-length albums, “Halo” (2014); and “Live at Grace Cathedral” (2016); scored Labayan Dance’s “Tears” (2014); Illuminate SF’s, “Grace Light” (2019); and is currently working on a new album in Iceland, produced by Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Ros, Bjork, Of Monsters & Men), set to release in 2020.
Sam Jackson (Crystal Bowls, Gongs, Bells, Percussion), founder and director of VibrantStillness is a masterful Crystal Bowls player offering sound meditations for dynamic and mindful balance. His resonant melodies and floating harmonics unite the spaces of composition and sound healing. As a founding musician of Grace Cathedral’s “Yoga on the Labyrinth”, Jackson’s Crystal Bowls and Paiste Gongs have inspired thousands of yoga practitioners to ground into their moving meditation with a vibrant sense of calm and presence.
Loriel Starr is dedicated to exploring sound as medicine for the body, psyche and spirit. She produces and performs as part of “The Sound Mandala Experience”, one of San Francisco’s premier sound bath events. Loriel’s work is informed by over 20 years of experience in the healing arts; with certifications in Holotropic Breathwork, Somatic Experiencing, iRest Yoga Nidra, Gong Yoga and more. She is a graduate of “The Sound, Voice and Music for Healing” program through The California Institute of Integral Studies.
Timothy Surya Das (Didgeridoo, Flute, Dulcimer, Synths), a certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Reiki Master and accomplished Sound Engineer, is a multi-instrumentalist specialized in creating live, meditative soundscapes of immersive electronic and nature sounds, didgeridoo, dulcimer and flute. As a composer, Surya Das is best-known for both the powerfully moving and meditative album, Harmonic Dreams and “SonicRx,” a pioneering work of individually-tailored Sound Therapy compositions. Surya Das will be participating from his home studio.
