We Are Miracles: Special Event for Children and Youth to Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month
May 22, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Children and Youth are invited to participate in a special event that celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The event will be led by our Canon for Marketing and Communications, Eva Woo Slavitt. Eva will share aspects of her own biography and read the award-winning book “Eyes that Kiss in the Corners” by Joanna Ho.
Younger children will be invited to respond to this beautiful text with their own artwork, creating their own self-portraits and family trees. Older children and youth will participate in a discussion about identity and diversity, reflecting on how this text relates to the idea we are all divinely created. We hope your children can join us for this event that celebrates the inner beauty and miraculous nature of us all.
