Intergenerational Eucharist with Prayers for Healing (In-Person and Zoom)

April 3, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

People of all ages are welcome at this contemplative Eucharist focused on healing and connection. We’ll gather with familiar songs, re-imagined scriptures, and a sermon by the Rev. Miguel Bustos, Cathedral Deacon and Senior Director for the Center for Social Justice at GLIDE. Then participants are invited to explore different areas of the cathedral with stations for individual healing prayers, anointing with oil, and contemplative music. Leaders from our Children, Youth, and Family Ministry will engage younger participants with prayer and art activities. Finally, we’ll gather as one body for the Holy Eucharist as dusk settles over the cathedral. Please email Steph McNally if your family or you would like to submit names of people for healing prayer.

Event Details

Doors open for seating at 5:40 pm. The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the breezeway on Sacramento Street between Taylor and Jones Streets or via the garage elevator. Please arrive by 8:15 pm as doors will be closed at that time.

When the online version of the service leaflet becomes available, you can view it here.
