Good Friday (In-Person and Livestream)
April 7 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Good Friday liturgy is a solemn commemoration of and participation in the great events of the day, the salvation of the human race through the victory of Christ, who, by dying, destroyed death – yet this service is not a funeral for Jesus. Its theme is well-expressed in the first anthem for the veneration of the cross:
“We glory in your cross, O Lord,
and praise and glorify your holy resurrection;
for by virtue of your cross
joy has come to the whole world.”
(BCP 281)
The Rt. Rev. Dr. Marc Handley Andrus, Bishop of California, presiding, and the Rev. Greg Kimura, Ph.D. (Cantab.), Vice Dean, preaching. Sung by the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys.
When the online version of the service leaflet becomes available, you can view it here.
