Dismantling Racism: Youth Training
Sunday, April 11 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Grace Cathedral invites youth and youth ministers to Dismantling Racism: Youth Training, a four-week series for youth (ages 12 – 17) to have candid conversations about race, advocacy, and addressing systemic racism and white supremacy in our communities. We’ll develop the practical skills and confidence to be antiracist accomplices, grounding our work in the example of Jesus—a poor, brown-skinned, Palestinian Jew who refused to be quiet in the face of injustice.
- Dates: April 11, 18, 25 and May 2 (the four Sundays after Easter)
- Time: 1 – 3 p.m. PST
- Location: Zoom—click here to register and receive the meeting information
- Cost: Free
Participants must plan to be at all sessions. There will be some flexibility in making up missed Zoom sessions, but each participant will need to be in touch with the facilitators to schedule any missed content.
This curriculum was developed by the Absalom Jones Center for Racial Healing and the Diocese of Atlanta, in consultation with Dr. Catherine Meeks. It is designed specifically for youth in Christian community.
