CODA Concerts Festival for Aspiring Choirs
March 10 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

CODA Concerts is an extraordinary festival experience designed to elevate choral performance and celebrate musical excellence. Each participating choir receives dedicated solo stage time with recorded observations from an esteemed faculty panel of nationally acclaimed conductors.
The festival concludes with an Awards Ceremony Final Concert featuring Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners in performance; a guest choir; and the festival chorus of combined choirs. The performance time is to be announced.
Guest Conductors
Christopher Thomas, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ; Artistic Director of the 130+ voice Greater South Jersey Chorus in Haddonfield, NJ; and past president of the New Jersey chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association.
Dr. Derrick Fox, the Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Creative Endeavors and a Professor of Choral Conducting at Michigan State University.
Dr. Pearl Shangkuan, Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Music at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan; chorus director of the Grand Rapids Symphony, a Grammy-nominated professional orchestra; Editor of Hinshaw Music; and music editor of the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship Choral series published by GIA.
