Choral Evensong with the Executive Councils of The Episcopal Church and Diocese of California
February 9 @ 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm

Grace Cathedral is honored to welcome the Executive Councils of The Episcopal Church and Diocese of California for a special evensong. The Rev. Canon Michael Barlowe, Executive Officer of the General Convention and former Canon to the Ordinary of DioCal will preach. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry, our own Diocesan Bishop Marc Andrus, House of Deputies President Julia Ayala Harris, and Standing Committee President Warren Wong, will also participate. Join us as we celebrate the work of The Episcopal Church and the loving, liberating and life-giving mission we share in Jesus Christ.
Evensong is a service traditionally held near sunset focused on singing psalms, canticles, and prayers, ranging from meditative to jubilant. The Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys sings during our Choral Evensong with an officiant. Join us at this mid-week choral service and experience one of the most beautiful liturgies in the Anglican tradition. (45 minutes)
When the online version of the service leaflet becomes available, you can view it here.
