This special Evensong marks a significant moment of accomplishment for our Choir of Girls. The Investiture of Choristers is a time for us to recognize the learning, achievement and growth that takes place through a cathedral choral education. Our Probationers (choristers in training) will be promoted to Acting Choristers, and our Acting Choristers will be invested as Full Choristers. The new choristers will be vested in their white surplices, and we will celebrate this occasion with joyful music composed by Bobby McFerrin, Alice Parker, Charles Stanford, and Katherine Webb.

Event Details

The entrance to the cathedral is at the top of the Great Steps. The accessible entrance is via the glass doors on Taylor Street or from the cathedral garage. Masks are strongly encouraged inside the cathedral.
