Juneteenth Choral Eucharist (In-Person and Livestream)
June 18 @ 11:00 am - 12:15 pm

On Sunday, June 18, Grace Cathedral will celebrate Juneteenth at 11 a.m., with guest preacher Don Tamaki, a San Francisco-based attorney, a proponent of Black/Asian allyship, Co-founder of Stop Repeating History, and a member of the CA State Task Force on Reparations. In addition to Tamaki’s timely message on reparations, we’re joined by Artist in Residence Bobby McFerrin and his ensemble Motion, leading Circlesongs both prior to and in the context of the service. Celebrate this festival of freedom with the whole community, mind, heart, and voice, engaged in a holy struggle toward perfect freedom.
The cathedral’s principal Eucharist, with anthems and service music sung by the Cathedral Choir. (60–75 minutes)
Join us online for a livestream broadcast of our 11 am Choral Eucharist service. The stream will appear below beginning at 10:45 am.
When the online version of the service leaflet becomes available, you can view it here.
