Ash Wednesday: Holy Eucharist with Ashes (In-Person and Livestream)
March 2, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Ash Wednesday begins Lent, a season of renewal, repentance and preparation for the Easter feast. Ashes, typically made from palm branches from the prior year’s Palm Sunday, are a potent sign of our mortality. We take stock of the brevity of human life, reflect on the areas of our lives that are estranged from God’s presence and resolve to turn again toward God’s boundless mercy and love. Mark the beginning of the penitential season of Lent with ashes, remembering that “you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
Our 6 pm Ash Wednesday Eucharist will have contemporary music as well as traditional hymns.
