Ambient Grace with Its Own Infinite Flower

February 5, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Ambient Grace returns to the labyrinth at Grace Cathedral with a very special live performance by Its Own Infinite Flower.

This unique listening experience invites you to explore the cathedral or to sit on the labyrinth or in the pews while taking in the atmospheric sounds.

Presented in partnership with Fault Radio, a Bay Area-based online radio station and member of Intersection for the Arts.  Ambient Grace will also stream simultaneously to Fault Radio.

Limited capacity tickets available on Eventbrite. Masks and proof of vaccination are required upon entry.

Artist Statement

Its Own Infinite Flower creates surrealist techno sound poems that seek to evoke feelings just beyond the reach of language & narrative structures. Space & density are explored sonically using analog & digital electronics, reaching for the frequencies of ancestral conciseness & their place in the present & possible futures.

About the Artist

Its Own Infinite Flower is the performing moniker of Tasho Nicolopulos in techno ambient guise. The name comes from Aleister Crowley’s 1905 ode to the Rosicrucian ‘Rosa Mundi’ and a symbol of the meeting ground where esoteric and erotic semiotics overlap. In a similar fashion Nicolopulos’s synth explorations, which XLR8R calls “crystalline cosmic fuzz” approach performance as a ritual mode similar to a seance or a conjuration. Nicolopulos is a fixture in the Bay Area underground music scene. His 2018 EP “THE PLUMES OF LOVE (ARE BLACK!)” was released on leftfield techno imprint Squirrels On Film.
