The Cathedral Chapter is made up of department heads and senior management -- both clergy and lay -- who are charged with the leadership of the cathedral. Chapter members are given the honorific title of Canon.

Chapter is the traditional name for the group of department heads, called Canons, who lead and manage the Cathedral's liturgy, ministries, programs, outreach, fundraising and administration. The traditional title of Canon is derived from the commitment these individuals make to serve the Cathedral under the canon law by which it is governed. The Dean presides over the Chapter and is the supervisor of the Canons. There are also honorary Canons who are not staff or members of the Chapter, but have been given the honorific title because of their history of service to the Cathedral.
