Seeing the Voice: A Synthesis of Light, Color, and Music

Anne Patterson launches her year as Artist in Residence with this one-night world premiere event. Cellist Joshua Roman returns to Grace Cathedral to premiere his new work for solo cello, accompanying the official opening of Ms. Patterson's first large cathedral installation. The performance will be a synthesis of light, art, and music, utilizing Grace Cathedral's unique physical and acoustical setting.

Ticketing

Seating for this event has been designed to enhance the experience for attendees.  While several locations within the cathedral will be utilized, guests will be seated on or around the labyrinth.  

For the final piece of the evening, Bach's Suite No. 4 in E-flat major, BWV 1010, Anne and Joshua invite you to bring a pillow or a mat and experience Grace Cathedral's sublime acoustics from a side aisle.
